FAQs

The screen dims when the device enters WWVA atomic receiving mode, which occurs when it's first plugged in and several times throughout the day (mostly at night). During this time, it searches for a radio signal for up to 7 minutes, with the antenna symbol displayed on the screen. While searching, only the "RCC" button is functional. Once the search is complete, the backlight will return to its normal brightness, and all functions, including the projection display, will resume.

You can press the "RCC" button at any time to exit the receiving mode.

Certainly! For our Atomic version (the one with a wall plug), simply press the RCC button to disable the atomic signal search. For an even simpler option, you can purchase our USB version, which doesn't include the atomic function.

The screen goes dark while it is in WWVA atomic receiving mode, and so does the projection display. Your clock receives WWVB signals several times a day. The search for a radio signal lasts up to 7 minutes, with the antenna symbol displaying on the screen. Meanwhile, the projection will automatically be off. After the receiving completes, projection will come back on, and all other functionalities will resume.

Your clock has an atomic function that will set and adjust the time automatically daily. All you need to do is to choose the correct time zone. If not, the clock will always adjust to the default EST(-5), which will be 3 hours earlier if you live in CA (PST). Please check the time zone on your clock and adjust accordingly.

The "BP" means the beeping sound during the set up.  Some prefer each step beeps, while others prefer setting clock or alarm without noise.  Hence the "ON" or "OFF" options.
