      FAQs

The atomic signal (WWVB) that syncs your clock’s time can vary in strength depending on your location. Since the signal is broadcast from Fort Collins, Colorado, people living in Eastern states or farther from the source may receive a weaker signal. It often takes a few nights—especially in those areas—for the signal to be successfully received.

Make sure the RCC (Radio-Controlled Clock) function is turned ON.

If your clock doesn’t sync right away, don’t worry—you can manually set the time in just a few seconds. The clock will continue searching for the atomic signal every night to automatically adjust and keep time accurate down to the second.

To test if the signal is working: manually set only the hour and minutes, and leave the date as-is. If the atomic signal is successfully received later, the date will update automatically.

Baldr weather stations were calibrated precisely at our manufacturing facility, which is designed to reflect the barometric pressure data in your location. The accuracy is around +/-5hpa.

In general, the air pressure is affected by altitude & other weather factors. The barometer pressure from websites often reflects the average level of the whole city, which can not be a good reference.

Please try to see if the following helps:

      • Make sure the sensor has good battery power (2xAA batteries for each sensor). Once correctly installed, there will be a red light flash intermittently (not regularly). It means the sensor is working.
      • On the weather station sidebar, locate the "CH" button, press & hold 3 seconds, then release. All channels receiving signals now should be flashing, and within a few minutes, the sensor data should come in the display. This serves as a forced re-registration.
      • If any channel is still not displaying after 10 minutes, empty the sensor's batteries, wait one minute, and re-insert back. You will notice the red light immediately flash once installation is complete, and it should sync to the main station right away.

If one or all channels are still not synced after the above three steps, then it may be something defective. Please contact our customer support team for help.

Placement Tips to Improve Signal Reception:

      • Atomic signals are strongest in the dark, especially around midnight to early morning.
      • Try rotating the clock 90 degrees to improve antenna alignment.
      • If it’s a wall clock, consider mounting it on a wall that faces a different direction—for example, switch from a north-south wall to an east-west wall.
      • Place the clock near a window or along a wall that faces Fort Collins, Colorado, for better reception.
      • Keep it at least 3 to 6 feet away from TVs, computer monitors, or other electronics that may interfere with the signal.
      • If you’re still having trouble, try placing the clock outdoors at night. Power it off (remove the batteries or unplug it), then power it back on to force it to search for the signal. If it works outside but not inside, it’s likely that there’s interference within your home.
      • Keep in mind that metal buildings—such as mobile homes or houses with steel siding—can block the signal entirely.

We hope these tips help you get accurate atomic time! Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
